Graduate Music Student Adolfo Mendon癟a Completes Masterclass Tour in Brazil

USF graduate jazz studies student Adolfo Mendon癟a taught four masterclasses in the Brazilian cities of Sao Paulo, Cubatao, and Guarulhos in October.
Mendon癟as class, titled Jazz Language and Teaching, taught the differences between Brazilian music and jazz language, the tradition of improvisation in American music, and Medoncas personal thoughts on American and Brazilian teaching.
Mendon癟a also incorporated concepts of form and harmony, differences between popular music and classical music, and accents and articulation in jazz into the classes.
Schools that hosted for Mendon癟a for his masterclass tour included Faculdade Souza Lima, ETMD Ivanildo Rebou癟as, Faculdade Santa Marcelina, and the City Conservatory of Guarulhos.
