About the Series
Currently in its 23rd season, the Steinway Piano Series at USF School of Music has presented concerts and master classes by over 100 distinguished international pianists. Recent guests include Pascal Rogé, Richard Goode, John O’Conor, Arthur Greene.
Our events are free and open to the public. Tickets are required. Seating is guaranteed until 5 minutes before the show start time. Afterwards, tickets will be released to patrons waiting in line. The lobby will open 1 hour prior to the event, and the hall will open approximately 30 minutes before the performance. By reserving a free ticket, you may receive updates and news about future events and experiences happening at the USF College of Design, Art & Performance. Thank you.

Ghadeer Abaido
Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 4:00 PM, in Barness Recital Hall
In this family-friendly recital, Palestinian-Jordanian pianist Ghadeer Abaido explores
the search for a lost home through music inspired by water, fire, wind, and earth.
Featuring Schubert’s Wanderer Fantasy and Stravinsky/Agosti’s Firebird Suite, the
program follows a traveler’s journey through changing landscapes. Music and storytelling
come together to reflect on belonging, memory, and the meaning of home.

John O'Conor

Hailed as "the world's premier Beethoven interpreter", Irish pianist John O’Conor
will present an All-Beethoven program in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the
composer’s death. Do not miss this opportunity to hear some of Beethoven’s masterworks
including the beloved “Moonlight” and Pathétique” sonatas.
Grigorios Zamparas
Sunday, February 14, 2027 at 4:00 pm, in Barness Recital Hall
Celebrated Greek pianist Grigorios Zamparas presents an afternoon of virtuoso masterworks.
The program features such warhorses as Beethoven’s “Waldstein”, Schumann’s “Symphonic
Etudes”, Liszt’s “Dante Sonata”, and selections from Ravel’s “Miroirs”.
Agnieszka Zick
Sunday, February 28, 2027, at 4:00 PM, in Barness Recital Hall
Celebrated Polish-born pianist Agnieszka Zick, praised for her ability to “paint beauty in sound” (Fanfare Magazine), presents a captivating journey through pastoral landscapes, daydreams, and fantasy. Spanning two centuries of piano literature, the program weaves together the beloved masterpieces of Beethoven and Chopin with the expressive storytelling of lesser-known gems.
Anna Snecinski
Friday, March 12, 2027 at 7:30 PM, in Barness Recital Hall
Anna Snecinski is the recipient of this year’s Steinway Series Special Award, given
to an exceptional young pianist at the beginning of their music career. Anna Snecinski
was born and raised in Tampa and is currently pursuing her piano degree at University
of Michigan.
Rebecca Penneys
Sunday, March 21, 2027 at 4:00 PM, in Barness Recital Hall
Rebecca Penneys is an internationally acclaimed pianist, educator, and Founder/Artistic
Director of the tuition-free Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival at USF. For more than
six decades, she has performed worldwide, appearing throughout every continent north
of Antarctica and representing the United States on State Department cultural tours.
Known for her deeply personal and wide-ranging programs, she continues to inspire
audiences and generations of pianists. “Her playing is simply revelatory” - American
Record Guide.

There is a fee to park at USF and this is enforced (24) twenty-four hours a day, (7) seven days a week. For College of Design, Art & Performance Events, the parking fee is waived after 7pm Monday-Friday only.
